Packing for the Scottish weather

Every year for about 15 years we have gone on our family holiday to Scotland. Yes i know, it's not a hot, summery location, and it does rain. A.LOT and the Midges almost want you to never come back...but we have had some really great times on these holidays and seeing as it is basically all us 'kids' have ever known (apart from skiing holidays and the odd holiday in europe) we don't really have anything to compare it to.
But, i'm not complaining.
I love it up there...it's so wild and remote, there is hardly anyone around, the scenery is A.mazing and, well it's nice to just go away on holiday with the family.
This year, we are going back to Rhidderoch, which is 7 miles down a track from Ullapool. Ullapool is the most north westerly town in Scotland, apart from the town on the islands;
This is Ullapool
There are 3 fish and chip shops within about 100 metre of each other, all fantastic. It has a Tesco, really good book shop, outdoor shop and loads of quirky little cafe's and fair trade shops.

During our holiday we fish, swim, read, go to the beach, play rounders and go for lots of long walks. We eat a lot of good food, and drink lots of good alcohol, including our tradition of pimms on the beach, whatever the weather before a cold swim and "beach olympics".

So today is packing day, waterproof's, wellies ad midges nets are a must, along with swim wear and walking kit and fishing stuff.
We are all getting very excited, including Jabba, who is the chosen one to come on holiday.

Enough food to feed a small army...my parent managed to spend £200 in ALDI!??

Obviously important for hydration!

So, best get back to it...see you in a week!
