St Swithin's Day

So, as many of you may know (or not know), yesterday was St Swithin's Day. It is said that the weather on St Swithin's Day will determine the weather for 40 days...there is an old rhyme;

'St.Swithin's day if thou dost rain
for forty days it will remain
St.Swithin's day if thou be fair
for forty days 'twill rain nae mair.'

So basically if it rains on 15/7 it's supposed to rain for 40 days afterwards (wouldn't be much different to our summer so far).
BUT yesterday was fair, which bodes well; So yesterday as it was so nice we first went for a (cold) swim in the river and then got the croquet set out!

We played a total of 3 games in the sun and i came 2nd, 4th and 1st, so a bit of a mixed score from me.

But it was lots of fun, even Boot joined in!
